How to Use the ABC Sales AI Event Check-In Feature
This guide will walk you through the steps to set up a new event, create a template message, and configure the automation to send out event passes using the ABC Sales AI system.
1. Create a New Event
This is the first step to enable the check-in feature for your event.
- Navigate to the user menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard and select "Event Check In".
- Click the + button to create a new event.
- Fill in all the required event details.
- Set the event start time to at least one hour before the actual event. This allows attendees to use the check-in feature for early registration.
2. Create a Template Message for the Event
Next, you will create a message template that will be sent to attendees.
- Go to the "Templates" section.
- Compose your message for the event.
- In the "Choose File" section, upload a _sample QR code_ image. This is a placeholder required for Meta's review process and will not be the final QR code sent to your attendees.
- Enable the "Is the Image a QR code?" toggle.
- Click "Add" to save your template.
3. Set Up Event Automation
You will connect your event to the template and configure the timing for sending out the event passes.
- Go to the "Automation" section and click the + button.
- Select the approved template you created earlier.
- Enable the "Is this a template for event pass?" toggle.
- Under "Choose an event for this template", select the event you created.
- In the "QR code data" field, select the variable $event_invitation_code.
- Specify the desired time for the template message to be sent to attendees.
- Click "Add" to finalize the automation.
4. Event Check-In Process
On the day of the event, follow these steps to check in attendees.
- From the top-right user menu, select "Event Check In".
- Choose the correct event from the list.
- Click the "Check In" button to open the check-in interface, which will activate your device's camera.
- Direct attendees to present their QR codes to the camera to mark their attendance.
The "Event Check In" dashboard provides a real-time overview of the attendance rate, allowing you to monitor the check-in progress at a glance.
