How to Use the ABC Sales AI Event Check-In Feature

This guide will walk you through the steps to set up a new event, create a template message, and configure the automation to send out event passes using the ABC Sales AI system.

1. Create a New Event

This is the first step to enable the check-in feature for your event.

  1. Navigate to the user menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard and select "Event Check In".
  2. Click the + button to create a new event.
  3. Fill in all the required event details.
  4. Set the event start time to at least one hour before the actual event. This allows attendees to use the check-in feature for early registration.

2. Create a Template Message for the Event

Next, you will create a message template that will be sent to attendees.

  1. Go to the "Templates" section.
  2. Compose your message for the event.
  3. In the "Choose File" section, upload a _sample QR code_ image. This is a placeholder required for Meta's review process and will not be the final QR code sent to your attendees.
  4. Enable the "Is the Image a QR code?" toggle.
  5. Click "Add" to save your template.

3. Set Up Event Automation

You will connect your event to the template and configure the timing for sending out the event passes.

  1. Go to the "Automation" section and click the + button.
  2. Select the approved template you created earlier.
  3. Enable the "Is this a template for event pass?" toggle.
  4. Under "Choose an event for this template", select the event you created.
  5. In the "QR code data" field, select the variable $event_invitation_code.
  6. Specify the desired time for the template message to be sent to attendees.
  7. Click "Add" to finalize the automation.

4. Event Check-In Process

On the day of the event, follow these steps to check in attendees.

  1. From the top-right user menu, select "Event Check In".
  2. Choose the correct event from the list.
  3. Click the "Check In" button to open the check-in interface, which will activate your device's camera.
  4. Direct attendees to present their QR codes to the camera to mark their attendance.

The "Event Check In" dashboard provides a real-time overview of the attendance rate, allowing you to monitor the check-in progress at a glance.
