Knowledge Base Upgrade

The Knowledge Base has been upgraded. You can now upload PDFs, images, and long text, and the AI Employee will extract information more accurately - even from long or messy documents - to answer questions with better precision.

What's improved

Previously, the Knowledge Base could struggle when:

  • Documents were long or messy
  • You had multiple materials you wanted the AI to learn from

Now the ingestion pipeline has been rebuilt so content is processed more intelligently (documents are chunked smartly), which improves:

  • **Accuracy and relevance** - especially for longer and more complex content
  • **Reliability** as your Knowledge Base grows
  • **Speed of responses**

What this means for you

  • You can upload **multiple documents** into one AI Employee.
  • You'll get **more accurate and more relevant** answers.
  • The AI can learn from **PDFs and even images** (e.g., screenshots of brochures or feature lists).

How to add knowledge sources

1. Go to **AI Employees**.

2. Open **Knowledge Base**.

3. Click **Add New Sources**.

4. Choose one:

  • **Upload a file** (PDF or image)
  • **Paste / append text** (for quick notes or FAQ snippets)

5. Wait for processing to finish. Larger files may take a short moment.

Demos

Demo 1: Upload a PDF

1. Upload a PDF into the Knowledge Base.

2. Go to the **System Prompt** (even if it's blank or clean).

3. Open **Test Chat**.

4. Ask a question that is answered in the PDF - for example, "Who is the official business partner with ABC Sales AI?"

5. The AI Employee answers by referencing the PDF content.

Demo 2: Upload an image (screenshot)

1. Take a screenshot of a page (for example, a product feature list).

2. Upload the image to the Knowledge Base.

3. Optional: remove the PDF to test image-only behaviour.

4. Clear conversation history and test again.

5. Ask: "What are the features of ABC Sales AI?"

6. The AI Employee answers based on the image content.

Updating your Knowledge Base content

If your FAQ, brochure, or any other document changes:

  • Export the latest version as a PDF (or take a fresh screenshot).
  • Re-upload it to the Knowledge Base to keep the AI's answers current.
