Customizing AI Voice Responses
Previously, when a customer sent a voice message to your AI, there was no way to customize the voice that replied. Now you can set up and personalize your AI voice: choose from multiple options including male, female, Mexican male, Singaporean, and more. You can set a default voice for your entire company and even use a different voice for each messaging channel.
Customizing AI Voice Responses
Method 1: Set the Default AI Voice in Company Settings
This sets the default voice for all your messaging channels.
- Go to the top-right corner of your dashboard and click on your name.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Look for the AI Voice section. You'll see the instruction: "Select a voice for AI generated audio responses."
- Browse through the available voice options (male, female, Mexican male, Singaporean, etc.).
- Click on any voice (for example, Susan) to preview it. You'll hear: "Hello. I'm your AI assistant. How can I help you today?"
- Try different voices until you find the one you like, then select it.
- Important: scroll down and click Save to apply your changes.
Your AI voice is now set as the default for your ABC Salesbot system.
Method 2: Set a Custom AI Voice per Messaging Channel
You can override the default and set a different AI voice for each messaging channel.
- Go to Messaging Channels from your dashboard.
- You'll see a list of all your messaging channels.
- Click on the specific messaging channel you want to customize.
- Look for the AI Voice setting within that channel.
- Select a different voice from the dropdown (for example, Mexican female).
- Preview the voice to make sure it's what you want.
- Click Save to apply the voice to that specific channel.
Each messaging channel can have its own unique AI voice. If you don't set a specific voice for a channel, it automatically uses the default voice from your Company Settings.
