Step 10: Adding Credit Card & Testing AI Combo with Scheduled Message
To enable sending template messages and cover Meta's charges, you need to add a payment method.

1. Add Payment Method in Meta Business Suite
- Add your credit card through your Meta Business Account/Suite, not ABC Sales AI
- Go to billing settings using: salesbotsecrets.com/wa
- Click the WhatsApp account tab on the left panel, find the WhatsApp account you used to connect with us
- On the bottom or the left side, there is a button called "Payment Settings" - click on it
- Click "Add payment method" and follow the instructions
- Add a valid credit card for Meta to charge for WABA services
- Enter your business details so you can get tax invoice for your business

Important: After your card is connected, make sure you set the card as the default payment by clicking the … button. Verify it's properly connected - you should see credit card info with last 4 digits appearing.

Note: Without a valid payment method, messages may fail (especially templates sent outside the 24-hour window).
2. Testing The Automation & AI Combo
- Navigate to the "Leads" tab
- Select the contact that you used to test the automation earlier (that failed due to no payment method)
- Click "Bulk Operation"
- Select "Unsubscribe Automation"
- Choose the automation you made earlier, then Submit
- Select the same contact again
- Click "Bulk Operation"
- Select "Subscribe Automation"
- Choose the same automation
- Track scheduled messages and their status in either the lead's "Details" page or the "Inbox"
This time, it should work! And just like that, you have learned how to create an AI that can reply to messages but also reach out when leads go silent or just to nudge/give reminders to your leads.
