Meta Charges
- Meta (owner of WhatsApp) charges for using the API
- Pricing varies by message type and region, and is subject to change
- Marketing: Offers and promos, related product suggestions, abandoned cart messages, or any conversation that doesn't qualify as authentication or utility
- Utility: Directly related to a transaction or request by customer, including post-purchase or booking notifications
- Service: Initiated by users; these are typically about resolving customer enquiries (Non-template)
Pricing Details
- Responses within 24 hours of a lead's message count as "service conversations" and there is no charge for API use
- Marketing and utility messages (templates sent outside the 24-hour window) have separate charges per message or conversation

- You must add a credit card directly to your Meta Business Account for billing (See Step 10)
