Facebook Messenger Integration
Connect your Facebook Business Page to ABC Sales AI so all your Messenger conversations appear in your main inbox alongside your other channels, with your AI agent replying 24/7.
Connecting Facebook Messenger
Why Connect Messenger?
When running Facebook ads, many businesses only direct customers to chat on WhatsApp. That's limiting: many customers prefer Facebook Messenger, and previously there was no way to offer both.
By adding Facebook Messenger as a messaging channel, your Facebook Business Page connects directly to your main conversations inbox. All your Facebook messages appear in one place with your other chats (like WhatsApp or SMS), and your AI agent can reply to them around the clock.
How to Connect
Connecting your Facebook Page is a two-part process. You must prepare your Facebook account first, then connect it inside the platform.
Part 1: Prepare Your Facebook Business Portfolio
This is the most important step. You must add your Facebook Page to your Meta Business Portfolio.
- Open this special setup link in your browser: salesbotsecrets.com/wa
- You will see a "Select a Facebook business" screen. Choose the Business Portfolio that you use for your company
- Once the page loads, look at the left-side menu and click on Pages (under the "Accounts" section)
- Click the blue Add button at the top of the page
- From the dropdown menu, select Add an existing Facebook Page
- A pop-up box will appear. Type the name of your Facebook Page and select it from the list
- Click Next
- Read the agreement and click Add Page
- You will see a "Page added successfully" message. Your Facebook account is now ready
Part 2: Connect Facebook Messenger to Your Account
Now, go back to the platform to make the final connection.
- Click on your Profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard
- Select Messaging Channels from the menu
- Click the Add Messaging Channel button
- Find Facebook Messenger in the list and click on it
- Click the Start button
- A new screen will appear. Click the blue Connect with Facebook Messenger button
- A Facebook pop-up window will open. Click Continue as [Your Name]
- Step 1 (Pages): Facebook will ask which pages you want to use. Choose Opt in to current Pages only, check the box for the Page you just prepared in Part 1, then click Continue
- Step 2 (Businesses): It will ask which businesses to access. Choose Opt in to current Businesses only, check the box for the Business Portfolio you selected in Part 1, then click Continue
- Step 3 (Review): Facebook will show you a summary of permissions. Scroll down and click Save
- Facebook will say "You've now linked...". Click Got it
- You will be sent back to the platform, and a "Facebook Messenger channel connected successfully!" message will appear
That's it! Your Facebook Page is now listed on your Messaging Channels page.
Admin Check: You must be an Admin of both the Facebook Page and the Meta Business Portfolio for the connection to work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens after I connect?
A: Any new message a customer sends to your Facebook Page will instantly appear in your "Conversations" inbox. Your AI agent will be active and can reply to them immediately.
Q: Can I connect more than one Facebook Page?
A: Yes. Just follow the same steps. Add your second page to your Business Portfolio (Part 1), then go to Messaging Channels, click Add Messaging Channel, and select the new page during setup (Part 2).
Q: Why don't I see my Facebook Page in the list at Step 8?
A: You must complete Part 1 first. Go to salesbotsecrets.com/wa, select your business, go to "Pages," and "Add" your Facebook page there. Once you do that, it will appear in the list.
Next Step: Test Your Connection
Go to your Messaging Channels page. Find your new Facebook Page in the list and click the "Chat on Messenger" button. This opens a chat with your page and lets you send a test message. You can see your AI agent respond and watch the conversation appear in your dashboard.
